The Alverino is a leather shoulder bag in black by The Chesterfield Brand with two separate main compartments and a layout suited to a full working day. The two mid-length shoulder straps are wide enough to carry the bag comfortably on your shoulder, even over thicker clothing. The bag is not designed to be worn crossbody, but sits well on your left or right shoulder. The rear main compartment is focused on technology and documents. A reinforced laptop compartment protects laptops up to 14 inches, without the need for a sleeve. There is also room for documents, books and other larger items you take to the office or on the go. The front main compartment is for those who like to have everything organised and to hand. Here too there is a reinforced compartment, suitable for a tablet but not for a laptop. Slip pockets offer room for three pens, four cards and a smartphone. A zip pocket keeps smaller valuables separate. The rest of the compartment offers enough space for a wallet, a glasses case, a lunch box or a bottle of water. On the back there is a zip pocket for quick access, and a trolley strap that lets you easily attach the Alverino to the handle of your suitcase. If you order before 3:30 PM on weekdays, your order will be shipped the same day from our warehouse in the Netherlands. Shipping times depend on the destination, but can be as quick as 1-2 days in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Shipping costs start from € 4,95 and free shipping is available for most of Western Europe.

How can I contact customer service?

You can contact us by sending a ticket via our support portal. You can also call us at (050) 763 08 89 or use the contact form on our website. We’re happy to assist you!

How can I return an item?

You can easily return your order through our return procedure. We charge a return fee of €4.95, which will be deducted from the amount you receive back. It is possible to choose a different carrier, but we do not cover these costs. Gift packaging is non-refundable.

Different rules apply for customers outside EU.

How do I best take care of my leather item(s)?

Once you receive your product, it’s ready to use. We don’t recommend treating it with leather wax beforehand. To enjoy your leather items for as long as possible, we suggest maintaining them properly. Treat your Chesterfield Brand items at least four times a year for the best protection. 

We’ve developed special products to help with this, like our Leather Wax and or Wax Spray. This product cleans and cares for the leather all in one go. The wax is colorless, dries quickly, and doesn’t stick, making it suitable for all leather colors. We’ve also made a handy instructional video that you can find on our care tips page. Never apply the leather wax directly to the product; always use a cloth or piece of fabric to spread the wax evenly. 

Additionally, we have a Protection Spray that helps prevent your leather bag from transferring color onto light clothing. Color transfer can happen under certain conditions, especially in warm weather and with perspiration. This spray has been specially developed in collaboration with the manufacturer for optimal results. 

With these tips and products, your leather bag will stay in great condition! 

Due to current shipping regulations, it’s unfortunately not possible to order the Protection Spray and Wax Spray for customers outside the EU. 

Where do The Chesterfield Brand products come from?

Our products come from India. We work closely with experienced suppliers there to create unique leather. We regularly visit the factories and ensure that every step of the production process is of high quality. We only choose SA8000 and/or SEDEX certified factories and use leather that complies with the REACH standard. A lot of our leather is vegetable-tanned, meaning it's chrome-free. 

The hides for our products mainly come from India and Poland. We use 90% cowhide and 10% buffalo leather. Leather is a by-product of the meat industry, and we turn it into sustainable, beautiful products. For example, our Cow Wax Pull Up leather is treated with natural waxes and oils, resulting in a soft and flexible finish. This leather can be easily re-treated, which contributes to the durability and lifespan of your product.
