The Chesterfield Brand donates €25,000 to Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe for school supplies

In 2026, The Chesterfield Brand is donating €25,000 to Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe for school supply passes. For the second year in a row, this means we are covering the majority of the costs. With these passes, children from families facing financial difficulties can buy the school supplies they need.

€25,000 for school supply passes in 2026

A notebook, pens or other school supplies: for families with money worries, these purchases can be a significant expense. A school supply pass helps lower that financial barrier, so children can take part in school well prepared.

In 2026, Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe provided more than €30,000 worth of school supply passes to children registered with the foundation. With our donation of €25,000, we are covering the majority of these costs. In this way, we support the foundation in its work helping children and families in our region.

What does Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe do?

Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe is a volunteer organisation dedicated to children aged 0 to 18 from families facing financial difficulties. The foundation helps children take part in activities in and outside school that are not a given because of their financial circumstances.

Support can take the form of school supplies, music lessons or a sports club membership. This gives children the chance to learn, develop their talents and join in with their peers.

The foundation's mission matches the purpose of our contribution: every child deserves the chance to join in.

As a company based in Assen, we feel connected to our community. By supporting Stichting Leergeld Noord Drenthe, we contribute to practical help close to home.
